Its a process. The New Deal was a bunch of unconstitutional stuff which was a big deal when they got away with it. But the Great Society was stacked on top of the New Deal abuses, and it was huge when Reagan rolled back part of the Great Society - but the New Deal went untouched. It just keeps ratcheting onward, two steps forward and one step back, at best. Part of that is the conceit that we are and should be conservative. Well, guess what! There actually arent any conservatives in America. Those who are called conservative are actually advocates of liberty, and the freedom for the people to advance. The word for us, originally, was liberal. But back in the 1920s, the socialists in America had a branding problem. They wanted to promote tyranny, what might be called governmentism - and the word socialism wasnt selling in America because American Society already controlled American Government. So the socialists simply rebranded their claptrap and called it liberalism - inverting the meaning of the term, and leaving us without a name which actually represented our philosophy.Anyway, in the nineties we actually had the audacity to believe that the president had to obey the law. Bill Clinton proved that he didnt have to obey the law. The next socialist who attained power openly advertises that he refuses to
take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed
as Constitution charges him to do. And not only is not impeached, he is reelected!
