You could leave out the entire episode of forcing people out of their homes at gunpoint without a warrent, and the thing would have gone down the same.

If they knew how badly he was wounded in advance perhaps they could have.

But the decision was based on what they knew at the time and the assumption that the killer could have blended with crowds and walked away. Hence the decision to shut down the subway and ask people to remain at home.

One guy took a video of people being forced out of their house. Most other people didn't report that happening to them or seeing it happening to other people. We don't know that it was anything more than one incident.

I despise statists.

1) Who, all things considered, isn't a "statist" in one way or another? Even George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Thomas Paine are "statists" to some angry libertarian somewhere.

2) Despising people isn't something you want to make a habit of. People who do can get really insufferable.

I'm ok with it. I get it here on FR every election cycle when I say I won't vote for the GOP liberal.
