I pissed that air crews feel they have to take off like that because it’s a bad neighborhood.

Air crews at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA are required to take off like that so the rich people living in Newport Beach won't be bothered by the jet noise. It can be startling for some passengers so they are warned prior to takeoff.

That’s ridiculous as well. From what I heard, the 747 had a civilian air crew.
