Because he has it and when national security is the issue...and it is, there is no time to play games with lesser courts.

You and I might agree with that assessment, but I rather doubt that the case has yet been sufficiently built for the SCOTUS to snap to atteention.

Look, I'm sensitive to your point of view. And I share your impatience.

But Fast & Furious and Benghazi are both hugely significant affairs. And pursuing both of them will have to work uphill, against the media current and in spite of voter apathy, misinformation and disinformation.

Personally, I respect the fact that Issa has been patient...and persistent. That he has not grandstanded and gone out on a limb, leaving himself (and his committee) open to ridicule. Joe McCarthy is not what we need right now.

Maybe, I'm wrong...maybe Issa is just playing politics until the next election. Maybe he'll let the case lapse when he's extracted maximum political coin from it. Maybe, in a burst of bi-partisanship, Boehner won't let Issa pursue the case to its logical conclusion.

But, so far, I believe Issa has performed precisely as necessary to bring these cases to a successful conclusion.
