Of course it will take at least ten years for this to wind its way up to SCOTUS for a decision. Actually, it doesn't take that long in disputes between branches of the federal government. The question is does the House have the guts to assert its prerogatives?

Actually, it doesn't take that long in disputes between branches of the federal government. The question is does the House have the guts to assert its prerogatives? State is taking this action in response to a letter from Issa and his committee telling them to cooperate with lawyers representing the whistleblowers.
Issa has followed up on Fast & Furious in the courts -- a case he will win. He'll follow up on this one, too.
