I just finished jury duty in SoCal and they aren’t lacking for people willing to serve. Out of the pool I was in..only two made attempts to get out of service..out of about 40 questioned by the judge/lawyers.
The troubling thing..to me..was that I never was asked to produce an ID to prove that I was the person on the summons. I just signed and swore. So..some illegal could show up with his cousin’s summons and sit on a jury in CA.

I quit serving on juries. I get a doc excuse now. The last couple of juries I was on (one an attempted murder case)I got sick of the stupid liberal azz teachers that are always on the jury. They make the decision harder and last a heckuva lot longer than it should. They cannot follow jury instructions or think rationally.

Just because I wear my miniature cloisonne military ribbons on my suit lapel and report with a military “High and Tight” hair cut, Defense Lawyers usually cast me off any jury.

Gee..., I wonder why? lol
