Has anyone called the ammo manufacturers and asked them to speed up production slightly?
Cheaper Than Dirt in North Fort Worth seems to have plenty, including 9mm. I just purchased 3 boxes (150 rounds) there this afternoon. They’re a bit pricy, $129.80 after taxes. However, the shelves were full.
I forgot to say the ammo I purchased was 45 ACP.
I started stocking up a little bit at a time in 2007 up until about 2010. I have plenty now, but I’m doing no shooting at all because I either can’t find the ammo or the price of it is like gold bar sales.

From everything I hear, they are all running full bore (pun intended).
Yep.
My CCW is a S&W M&P 40c...have fired it in...God knows because of ammo prices.
I’m actually selling it; might replace it with a 9 mm.
Still no .22 at walmart, beats anything I’ve ever seen.
Afraid to even go to the range or down to the river and shoot.
Don’t know when, where, or at what cost I can replace what I fire.
“Still no .22 at walmart, beats anything Ive ever seen.”
I was in my local Wal Mart and the sporting goods associate told me, “we’re getting in regular shipments, we’ll stock the shelves full at 6:00 AM, and by noon the shelves are empty.”
I have been able to find 1 Bucket O Bullets. (1,400 rounds .22LR), and have two boxes of Federal 525 round hollow point .22LR that I only cracked to load the magazines I have.
Still, paying $29.99 for for 525 rounds of .22 LR seems excessive, unless you’re out!
I still maintain there is no shortage of ammunition, it’s locked and loaded in the weapons of your fellow Americans!
I am not a wealthy person but after years of metal detecting I managed to get a pretty full safe of silver. I kind of wish I didn’t sell some of it that I have but I think I have enough to get me through if need be. Most of it is in easy denominations like dimes. I cant imagine if things got real bad how a person breaks down a gold coin into something spendable.
I am sure that there are a million scenarios. I just imagine it being easier for me to spend dimes.
look for the government to basically turn everyone into criminals via the millions of laws and regulations and ordinances, and then under that premise simply haul you out of your house at gunpoint and under pretenses, take all your stuff.
a whole damn town of a million people kept itself inside and allowed themselves to be forcedout of their homes at gunpoint like prisoners being taken out of their cells for inspection. whjo the eff is going to stop it?!?
Unfortunately the resupply as forced my wife and I to to cut down our weekly recoil therapy to bi monthly.
I did buy 3 ea 100 round boxes of 40 S&W yesterday at Walmart. They had five in stock but they limited purchases to 3 boxes per customer.
These are exciting times. Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed.

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have had no trouble buying ammo at one shop in particular. They have been “managing” their ammo sales so that they have something to sell. Yesterday I bought .22LR CCI Minimags (100 rds in a plastic box) for $9.99. My wife bought two 50 rd boxes of Blazer 9mm target for $19. a box. We go in about once a week, and they can usually supply us with like quantities. Other shops are a hit or miss proposition.
Glad I stocked up when ammo was cheap. 75 cents to a buck a round is far too expensive for target practice ammo.
People won’t be doing sports or tourism involving firearms much, and tolerance for crazy fads and prices has its limits. Folks will find other things to do closer to home.
SOMEBODY has to be buying all the Walmart ammo. I just can’t figure out who and when.
wonder if the criminals are running out of ammo?
I’m doing ok... I’ll just have to go easy on the target practicing a bit.
Bought bilk and bought early.
