I find that implausible. How could they surge from current levels, particularly given current supplies?

I have seen an increased amount of gun shoppers above the already high amount of the last 5 years, ammo of the most popular calibers is still short.
So I just walked right up and bought some very good 7mm magnum rounds, next will be some .300WM, .338wm and .375H&H.

Yesterday, in the local Walmart's ammo case, there were about dozen boxes (total - three or four flavors) of large rifle calibers; three boxes of .410, half dozen boxes of 12ga birdshot.
That was it.

There wasn’t any ammo two weeks ago. How can there be LESS?

With close to nothing remaining on the shelves, it must not be too much of a surge?

One of the local gun stores in my area (gets tons of first-time gun buyers) has been selling some of the more popular 9mm and .40 cal autos with a box of ammo included.
The thought is that the customer will at least have something to shoot through the weapon for maybe a short range fam session and self defense.
