When they were badly bombed by Russia, many countries sent aid in one form or another. The chechens could have cashed in on this bigtime, both financially and politically. Instead they just killed the people who came to help them, including Red Cross workers. And in some instances they had fun doing it, posting heads to be seen by others in prominent places.
They also were fond of videotaping themselves beheading people or just sawing fingers off a kidnapped child and sending the tapes to Russian officials. On at least one occasion a chechen was caught and sent to Russian prison, based on his own videotaping of himself.
Having followed the chechen terrorists for some time, I have to wonder what they are thinking?????
All I need to know about Chechens, I learned at Beslan.
