The landing and deplaning was covered live by a NY television station. The commentators were puzzled since it had been stated all day that EVERY plane had been immediately grounded.

Planes that were in flight at the time were ordered to land at the nearest airport. Read about the overwhelming hospitality that the people of Nova Scotia extended for many days to the passengers of many incoming flights, from overseas, that were interrupted.
