That is not bruising, not road pizza. If a tire with a Mercedes attached ran across his face, neck and shoulder, it would crush bones.....badly.

That “dark red area” looks like dried blood cough up because of the massive lung wound to the side.

That wound looks more like it is ripped by being dragged by a car undercarriage...

My guess would have been that the tire ran upwards along his body, squeezing blood to his face, "vascularly".

Alternatively, had he been alive at that point—and dragged—a hot catalytic converter could have burned his face.
