After more than 200 rounds were traded over several minutes, some officers were out of ammunition and charged the brothers' position with their police car.

Once again the trained professionals are proving 7 rounds may not be enough.

Where was Homeland Security with their 1.2 billion rounds of ammo, assault rifles and MRAP armored cars?

Seriously - where were they?

Usually you will see hundreds of Homeland Security and FBI jackets swarming every crisis event but not many were seen in TV shots of this terrorist dragnet.

From what we saw and were told it was the local PD and State Police who carried the load here.

The local PD even reported that they were calling off the lock-down and door-to-door searches due to lack of manpower.

Why should we continue to spend trillions on Homeland Security if they aren't going to be in the forefront of the fight against Islamic terror?

I tell you one thing. No one should ever ask, “Why do you need an AR rifle with a 30 round magazine?” again. It should be clear that in a self-defense situation, the more rounds you have, the better. I suppose most gun controllers will say only the police or military should have them. However, I am sure a couple of liberals in Watertown may have had an epiphany on guns in the last two days.
