CBS just gave a tick tock of the events leading up to the arrest:

Homeowner went outside after everyone allowed outside, went to check on boat. The man noticed a tear in tarp covering boat. Checked it out, saw a lot of blood. Went inside called 911.

Three police officers responded, went to the boat, peered inside. Gunfire erupted, brief gun battle ensued before officers ordered to retreat.

Standoff led to surrender.

Would be interesting to find out how long he was in the boat. Could have ended hours ago if it wasn't for the lockdown

Interesting timing. I wonder if the whole Marshall law thing was needed. But on the other hand, MA is a nanny state and people are not allowed to defend their lives and property, so they must rely on Marshall law.
