If a terrorist was loose in Tel Aviv, would the Israelis send in 9,000 police officers to perform a chaotic house-to-house search, while every police and government official from Boston to the White House was demanding TV time to talk about how important he was?

I really am getting sick of everything in the north east being some how a HUGE disaster. More people died in Texas but that is not making news. Half the midwest is getting flooded but who cares. When a tornado took out an entire small down in Alabama the media yawned. But one armed guy in a big city in the north east and swat teams from 4 states are there. Man hunts for murders happen ALL THE TIME. This over reaction is desensitizing the country to the idea of martial law.

Imagine the collective liberal reaction to huge disaster.
