MIT issued an emergency alert at 10:48 on Thursday night reporting shots fired on the university campus. The school newspaper reports, "Shots fired near 32 Vassar St (Stata Center), police officer down. Please stay inside." That report is backed up by CBS News's Bonney Kapp who reports hearing "officer down" on the police scanner just before the MIT alert went out. For now, details are scarce, but the suspect is on the loose and considered armed and extremely dangerous.

I thought he was injured when apprehended...but its been action packed so not 100% sure
So here is my question..they saw themselves on tv..why not just leave..why rob the 7-11..they could have kept a low profile and gotten out of town..why put themselves out there like that

Two persons. We know one was caught live. The other easy still on the run. Now we are hearing he’s a) dead, or b) maybe connected with black suv moving fadt. Dunno.

12:30 Mercedes stolen
moves to watertown....then all the heavy police activity going on...bombs detonated...shots fired...homeland security...swat teams..etc. all show presence.
I have heard a lot of conflicting, contradictory, fog-of-war stuff on the scanner channel. Including the recent gunshots which turned out to be a loading truck. And if the perps truly have access to military-grade weapons, why did they need to build amateur style bombs? I am not disputing at this point that devices resembling grenades might have been used, just that they were actual military grenades.
