Yeah - that in those few seconds of the suspect making eye contact, the bag being placed, and the bomb going off, that he was able to realize what was going on, and then remember details after all he’s been through!

Interesting is what the mind can do before and after a traumatic happening....”Pictures” are often seered into the conscious, and this with detail... Like putting a spotlight on the moment....Sometimes these are “compartmentalized” where they surface at a later time, as with soldiers who suffer Post Tramatic Stress.
.... But in this guys case the authorities were ‘ready to hear’ and surely anxious for him to tell what he knew....and with ‘the details’.
Additionally he wanted to tell about the ordeal. Add to this all that could be done for the guy created a “safe” environment...and likely why the hospital was locked down.
