Crabapple (Malus) of 30-55 species of white/pink/red trees and shrubs, are now blooming, and the bees are busy doing their thing.
The returning birds have stripped the old berries back in late-Feb/early-March, making way for new blooms, leaves and fruit. Plant these around the peoperty perimeter, as the dropping fruit decays, emitting alcohol and drawing bees. Plus, mowing a pile of fruit is making applesauce with your mower.
