The dumb a$$. Black powder is easily made.
If I remember correctly, charcoal, salt peter and sulfur in it.
And if I recall correctly, the formula is something like; Charcoal-75%, Potassium Nitrate-15% and Sulfur-10%. My chemistry was high school only and about 52 years ago but I think that’s about right.
