National Guard asked if they were needed. Head man on the scene resonded “Not at this time.” I thought the NG couldn’t get involved without the governor’s orders. Maybe Perry called the local CO and told him to go if they needed them.
There are still places in this country where people just do the right thing and use good sense and just ignore rules when the time comes.
