Who were the runners at both locations when the bombs went off?
Not sure, I can't read his passport or ID from this resolution. ::facepalm::
Mailboxes are “nailed” - screwed to ground.
Bottom of the legs would stay in place, rest up could be deformed.
The tree also would likely have taken a beating.
If you’ve looked at other photos, people had pulled back the railings almost immediately to get to the people so I’m not sure I would read too much into the position of where it is.
Mailbox more than like is bolte down. there should be a fairly significant “dent” in the concrete where ever the bomb was placed, at least major “burn” marks from the powder ingnition.
I think that is a body on the ground blurred.
Interesting, and not to pick on you, but, celebrating the existence of surveillance video (big brother)?
Just an observation, please don't take offense.
Having lived in London when the IRA was planting bombs, ALL UNTENDED BAGS...EVEN PENS, were SUSPECT!!! I nearly had a NUN'S BAG THROWN OFF THE TRAIN because she left the train with her bag still on it!!
Looks Asian to me
I agree .. because the barrier is different than at the first site. The first site barrier was higher and thicker than the one in the picture.
Plus the traffic signs are undamaged. After the OKC bombing I did some work at EMRTC in NM to “calibrate” traffic signs with explosives, by using known amounts at known distances and angles you can get a better read on the power of the device and it’s location.
In the first picture, the guy leaning over the railing in the grey sweater and wearing sunglasses looks like the guy later seen in the wheel chair with his legs blown off and bones sticking out.
Here is a link to Pictures of he exploded pressure cooker per fox in Atlanta .
How did they get these?
Similar color shirt and hair, could be.
It’s things like this that make one disparage the constitution’s prohibitions on cruel and unusual punishment.
If that was the explosive device, that railing would have been pushed back into the crowd, and no where near the mailbox to be pulled against it by rescuers. Even if it wasn't displaced, bending one of those barriers at that severe of an angle would take tremendous pressure, very unlikely to have happened if one or even three guys were yanking on the barrier.
Could not have been that bag that exploded.
Look at how the silver crowd control fence that the bag is leaning against is behind it in the “before” photo.
Now look at how that fence is bent forward and to the right, into the mail box, in the “after” photo.
An explosion in the bag would not bend that fence in that direction.
