Pressure cookers possibly activated remotely by a cellphone are believed to have been used to make the crude bombs that sent deadly shrapnel hurling into a crowd of onlookers and competitors at Mondays Boston Marathon, experts told Fox News.
Doctors treating some of the 176 injured victims believe the explosives were packed with deadly shrapnel, including pellets, nails and sharp metallic objects with some patients having 40 or more such fragments embedded in their bodies.
Many of them have severe wounds mostly in the lower part of their body wounds related to the blast effect of the bomb, as well as small metallic fragments that entered their bodies pellets, shrapnel, nails that these bombs had, George Velnahos, chief of trauma surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, said Tuesday.

Citizens don’t really need these hi-capacity cookers, do they? When will Obama start buying back these deadly cookers?

Bombs made out of pressure cookers? Okay... the bomber was either a bored housewife, or someone who just got cut from “Hell’s Kitchen”.

Why are there 80,000 Saudi students in this country when Saudis were the cause for 9/11/2001?Hey, didn't you see that Juan Skerry [who by the way served in Vietnam] said that the guns in America were scaring off foreign students?

Well, I’m glad that you posted a picture of the deadly instruments. Our pressure cooker is one that has the weight on the top, so it must not be a suspect.

No, not that guy — he is filthy rich.
But most of those new arrivals come from that continent south of Europe.

Sadam Hussein was kinder and more tolerant toward Christians than Saudi’s king ever was.

I really don’t understand how a pressure cooker in a backpack is used to make a bomb. What builds up the pressure?

My homemade powder burn scars are on the right side of my face. Came close to blinding me, & I had to pick the powder out of my face with tweezers. Hurt like hell. Told my mom I fell off my bike & scraped my face.
Seriously, public trashcans seem to be an obvious place to put a bomb. How many bomber movies had the bomb in a public trashcan? Maybe frequent checks of these cans at public events are necessary. Given that pedestrian trash is rarely large & bulky, trashcan openings can be much smaller. The cans can be placed in the open so that they are easily observed by all. They should be emptied just prior to a public event. If these bombs were on timers, then they could have been there for hours.

I dunno...I went to a food demonstration at Honeyville Farms a few months ago (Honeyville Farms is a big Mormon supplier of basically prepping foods and materials). The chef running the demo (tamales from nearly all dried materials in the warehouse, very good too) used a (dun, dun, dun....) pressure cooker.
Mormon, prepper, pressure cooker. Need we say more?
