If I encountered a psychotic shooter in the theater, the first thing I would check would be the muzzle - looking for a flash suppressor, bayonet lug, grenade launcher, or threaded barrel. If he didn’t have those, I would check for a pistol grip or folding stock. If I didn’t see those either, I’d go back to watching the movie. It’s the scary features that make a rifle dangerous, not the little lumps of lead (NOT Teflon coated!) that might come out the end. As long as the new rifle doesn’t have those features, it’s safe for CT.
