thomas.loc.gov does not have a permanent link yet, so I posted the whole thing, it's CR S2613-2618 if you want to find it on Thomas or in the Congressional Record.

Sickening.

I have some small hope that the House will turn this back.

Some of the amendments undo some of the Feinstein text, but still, this is what “reasonable and commonsense” looks like to the liberals.

They will, of course. They’ll hold the line because they come up every two years.

Senate is a different story, though. I just wrote my two Georgia Senators about yesterday’s vote. I called both of them traitors to freedom. Told Chamblis I hope Obama taxes away everything he stole while in the Senate, and told Isakson I’d vote for a Democrat before I voted for him again. I am patently confident both will vote against this bill, but they had a chance to make conservatives’ power more effective yesterday. Duplicitous bastards trying to work both sides of an issue.

if msnbc is to taken at face value (the station of the left wing staffers of the Hill), this is a done deal and the only impediment is those pesky voters who will cause senators to lose “bipartisan courage”

translation: the Hill wants this to protect their own power.

Doesn’t this have to pass the house too?

Yes, and it has not passed the Senate. This is what they will be “debating” and making amendments to.

Very scary and ugly! This certainly isn’t the America I grew up in - nor is it the one that my Dad fought for in WWII. Kinda glad my Dad isn’t around to see it even though I miss him.

“Well then this is just for show I can’t see this getting by the house (I hope and pray)”

Whether it passes the house will depend on what Boehner does, what he and the ‘pubbies are offered, and what they are threatened with. Don’t expect the issue to be one of core beliefs.

Isn’t there a constitutional remedy for this?

hmmm—let me see if I can remember what it might be.

Here it is... If the House doesn’t turn this back, it’ll get ugly real quick.

CWII: No kidding.

We nee the states to call for a constitutional convention, which should immediately pass two acts:

i) remove the current criminal regime from power immediately;

ii) pass a bill of attainder naming all the proponents of this measure as public enemies who are to be stripped of all assets and who are to be denied food, water or shelter by anyone and, if found within the United States or 500 miles of any border or coastline after 30 days, may be executed with impunity by any US citizen.

Well, I just read this entire piece of bullshyte. The chilling reality is these supposed 'deliberative' oligarchs not only contraqdict themselves but they insert language which gives them the broadest opportunites to 'regulate' and thus infringe the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Do We The People really want the unJustice department of Eric Holder regulating what monies may be withheld from states or dictating what will be included in the 'federal registry' of individuals?

It appears that the republicants think they are merely signing on to pass a feel good sham legislation, so they appear to be doing something, whereas the democriups have inserted language which allows them and their henchgoons to regulate to the maximum what the republicants think is not being addressed/infringed.

What we have is tyranny on parade, treachery in the offing, and traitors to their oaths to defend and uphold OUR Constitution.
