The lines are clear - one side is good and supports individual freedom, the other side is evil and supports absolute power in the hands of government.

Unfortunately, Republicans also want absolute power: remember the Patriot Act.

Those who support even more restrictive gun laws are America’s enemies, and they pose a clear and present danger to our freedom

And when was the last time you heard any serious talk, in either main party, about repealing GCA and/or NFA? What about third parties?

The patriot Act, to the extent that it violated the 4th and 5th Amendments was wrong and should be repealed. GCA/NFA violate the 2nd Amendment and should be repealed - let people have silencers and short-barreled rifles, but punish them severely if they use any weapons for crime. And, no, I don't hear the GOP leadership standing up for the Constitution as much as they should. The GOP is not nearly as bad as the Democrats, but they make no effort to recover lost freedoms when they have an opportunity.
