Bet you won't see that phrase in the media over this.
Hint: when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
It requires 8 hours training, background check and license. Seems about right.
It is hard to describe how furious I am they are allowing knives on planes again. We have totally forgotten 9/11.
What makes me more furious is the TSA even OPENLY ADMITTED the reason they are allowing the knives on is that they can’t breach the cockpit with them.
So, what TSA is saying is basically who cares about the safety of passengers and crew. As long as the plane can’t be taken over.
Nope...not so. Our legislature is working to ease some of the laws as we type.
Other than that, there are few places we cannot carry.
There are bills in the Texas legislature being considered to allow college campus concealed carry. SB182 and HB 972 and HB 1078. Nothing about knives, though.
The Religion of Peace, or just another Progressive?
This was obviously a fully automatic high capacity assault person.
OK, thanks!
Need to limit access to sharp instruments in Texas.
thanks!
“the reason they are allowing the knives on is that they cant breach the cockpit with them.”
Didn’t the terrorists on flight 93 hold passengers hostage threatning to use knives and razors and THAT is how they gained access to the cockpit? or am I out in left field?
Yeah, but Sheila Jackson Lee will be on hand 5 minutes before the news crews arrive.
Comprehensive commonsense Sharp Object Free Zone laws are the only way to prevent this carnage.
Thank goodness the victims didn’t have guns or somebody could have gotten hurt..
Of course we do. That's obvious. What's less obvious is the need for Fork Control. Can you imagine the damage that could done by a crazy wacko with a fork. At the minimum we need a Fork Background Check and a Fork Registry.
OTOH, Spoons look pretty safe, at least for now.
Can you imagine the horror that could have been caused by an battery powered Turkey carving knife???
They didn’t just threaten the hostages, they slit the throats of the stewardesses.
Banning knives on flights never made much sense when you realize they flew first class which gave them each a knife with their meal.
Things have been out of control since 911!
Lock up the crazy people and we can put an end to the madness.
