Over the past 15 years or so, I cannot help but notice that party affiliation is very important to most here.
It seems to be, "Yours are worse than ours". I don't get it since there ain&'t a dimes worth a difference in either ideology or honor between the two parties.
Less than 10% of politicians of either stripe are trustworthy enough to watch my dog.

Party affiliation is also very important to the MSM - they never list “Democrat” in connection with “perp.”

It doesn't freaking matter to you. It DOES matter to the low-information voter who reads these things and always has to guess at Party affiliation because the liberals who write these pieces cover for the Democrat Party.
