Gore outlines a conflict in which the "global mind", an educated world population united by the internet, is pitted against Earth Inc, global corporations with no national allegiance, which cannot see past the next quarter, alongside politicians who look no farther than the next set of growth figures. Quarterly capitalism he calls it, which measures profit and forgets to measure consequences like pollution. Jobs are no longer being outsourced abroad, they are being robo-sourced, he says - lost forever to technology. He talks not so much in complete paragraphs as draft chapters, fizzing with ideas and references, from Burma to nanotechnology, Plato to Buffalo Springfield.

He also has an apartment in San Francisco and business interests in London with Generation Investment Management, the firm he set up with ex-Goldman Sachs executive David Blood ("I wanted to call it Blood and Gore, but the other partners would not hear of it," he says).
The company practices what its founders call sustainable capitalism, looking for long-term economic value and ethical investments - Amazon, eBay and Colgate-Palmolive are among the investments.

Hussein not mentioned.
Algore wants us to give the power of corporations which do not [he says] look beyond the next quarter to politicians who do not look past the next election.
That’ll work.
Yeah, a guy who made $100 million selling his eco-minded TV network to al-Jazzera is in ANY position to lecture ANYONE about ethics and principles.
Pretty funny, given the internet is the main battle ground against the entrenched AGW interests. And AGW is losing there. Badly.
Considering how Gore deceived millions with his global warming BS, this is a very ironic statement on his part.
> Hussein is not mentioned.
And by far a greater deceiver than Bush ever was. And I think they’re confusing ineptitude with deception. Hussein’s tactics are downright deceptive and intentional with hidden agendas. I think Bush was handed the wrong end of the stick from the gitgo with 911. No other president has had to deal with a situation of that type magnitude in past presidencies
He failed to mention that Bill Clinton and his administration where saying the same thing about WMD’s in Iraq during the glorious Clinton years.
Sex Poodle bills himself as an optimist
If I'd managed to end up as rich as Liar Gore from hustling the fake "science" of global warming, I imagine I'd feel optimistic, too... except when I thought about history.
History is going to tell the truth. Whether the truth will be written sooner or later remains to be seen, but I'm very sure leftism will presently take its rightful place beside slavery and George Wallace's segregation as failed ideas.
I see, instead, that the collectivist school of thought has, in fact, prevailed and we await the inevitable collapse of everyone trying to live at the expense of others.
The debt of the world far outstrips any capacity to make it whole.
Say G'nite, Gracie.
What a hypocrite!!
He deceived the public with false claims about global warming!! And made scads od money doing it!!
Go hump someone else's leg - sex poodle.
Who the hell still listens to this bloated guy?
Guess who bought the controlling interest in Occidental Petroleum from Armand Hammer before Hammer died?
Guess which company Bill Clinton sold the Elk Hills Federal Oil Reserves in California to when he was still in office??
If you can say AL GORE-—you are a winner!!
The future will start to look brighter the day I get to piss on his grave.
Thanks Libloather.
