Connecticut store that sold gun to Newtown shooter's mom loses license From ASSOCIATED PRESS Last Updated: 3:05 PM, April 5, 2013 Posted: 9:15 AM, April 5, 2013 NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A shop that sold a gun to the Newtown school shooter's mother has lost its federal firearms license.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives revoked the license of Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor in December. The agency, which confirmed the revocation to reporters Thursday, didn't say why.
Authorities raided the store for undisclosed reasons shortly after the December school shootings in which Adam Lanza killed 20 first-graders and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. He also shot to death his mother, Nancy, at their home. Authorities say he fired 154 shots with a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle inside the school, then killed himself with a Glock handgun.

I think you are missing the real story here. When the Gub'ment revokes your license to sell guns it means they have deemed you broke the law. This owner is in danger of being incarcerated. He's probably not worrying much about advertising.
More and more I am coming to firmly believe that all congresspersons and judges have been tainted by corruption to some extent. I can only speak from the experience of a low level bureaucrat but I can surmise from the eyes and ears of experience.
Obviously we don’t know all the facts and he may have done something illegal, but, based on the reactionary ways of this administration, I am assuming the owner is not guilty of anything other than be the unfortunate person that sold weapons to the mother.
It reminds me of Hillary promising a family member of one of the Bengazi victims that they will hunt down and punish the maker of the inciting video.

On Saturday, a South Windsor man — who had received a suspended prison sentence and two years probation in May for stealing a dozen rifles and shotguns from Riverview Sales — tried to steal a sniper rifle from the same store, police said.
Jordan Marsh, 26, pleaded guilty May 10 to a single count of stealing a firearm and received a suspended prison sentence and two years of probation. He initially faced 12 counts of stealing a firearm and other larceny charges.
According to East Windsor police, on Saturday, Marsh grabbed a Bushmaster .50-caliber rifle from Riverview Sales valued at $5,000 and ran from the store. When store employees confronted Marsh, he pulled a knife, then fled on foot. Police officers eventually caught and arrested him.
“Police said Riverview Gun Sales had no idea the AR-15 Marsh stole was missing. Management at the store didn’t know about 11 guns that Marsh had allegedly stolen last year until they were notified by detectives,” WFSB-TV reports.
Riverview Gun Sales has had inventory issues in the past. State police raided a Connecticut home in 2007 and reportedly found a number of stolen firearms belonging to the store.
East Windsor police Detective Matthew Carl previously told WFSB-TV that at one point, the “Riverview gun store was missing upwards of 30 plus guns.”
Another thing that comes to my mind: I guess these days they can find a law that anyone has broken if they want to, Gibson Guitars comes to mind. Must be using ‘Atlas Shrugged’ as a playbook.

That is correct but if the shop is/was having trouble securing their inventory then that may be part of this investigation. Who knows what is the truth is at this time.

Unaccounted for stock. High theft rate. This was addressed some while back on FR, there was a video of a perp walking out with an AR and no one apparently even noticed
It really is frightening... Check out some of the Stossel specials.
There was this lobster fisherman who spent 6 years in federal prison for using boxes instead of bags (or the other way around) that everyone in the area used for years... And part of it was he had supposedly broken a law in a Central American country that the country admitted didn't apply to him. He lost everything.
Or how the government continues to persecute land owners who have won in federal court, but the agencies don't give a damn.
Some of these stories are really horrifying and need to be spread to the public.
But then the whole country watched with nary a peep as the federal government incinerated 50+ people, including children.

Well, they certainly did, and I believe he's still in jail. Of course he actually had nothing to do with Bengazi, but that's besides the point... Oh, look over there!... A shiny object!

I posted my recollection of this before I saw your post. I didn’t have the links though. I don’t think many of the posters on this thread read it or care for facts unfortunately

I think the NRA among many other conservative groups might find a lot of cause to advance this case.
A man is not guilty of any crime just because some loontic steals something he sold to a client and uses it to commit crimes.
If that were the case then every car dealership in America would have to be shut down.
Of all the appalling things she said during that whole fiasco, to me that was one of the most appalling. From what I remember, the victim’s father shared the same sentiment.
To #7: The difference between the “imperial president” (read as Commissar) as going after gun shop owners and the way Hitler targeted Jewish shops and shop owners” is two-fold.
1. Obama represents Creeping Communism.
2. He hasn’t made gun shop owners put Yellow No-Gun signs in their windows nor has he yet made them wear Yellow “No Guns” stars on their clothing.
But, give him enough time and that too shall come to pass.
Doesn’t the sound of “Heil Holder” sound really cool, and frightfully real?
