Yeah, you and your stinkn’ science. What has science got to do with global warming?
These folks are standing on the platform of the station, still talking, not realizing that the train has done left without them.
Global warming will cause longer growing seasons and more land to become arable as the permafrost belt retreats, resulting in increased food production. But count on the liberal/leftists to argue that increased food production will lead to more obesity.
Yeah, it will happen in 2050, in fact it will happen every year leading up to 2050. Up here in Alaska, we call it spring.
Once that nasty old ice is gone they can dig into the ground and reveal the fossilized remains of the tropical plants that once grew there.
They date from even before Fred and Barney were driving around in their SUV’s made of logs and Stone.
The vast boreal forests bordering the tundra are already lush and green. If they were to advance northward it would be a beneficial development for the environment as a whole. Too bad it is highly unlikely to happen. This ridiculous screed is, as usual, based on a “computer” model, custom made to deliver the desired outcome. It is not based on any data at all.
Come 2050, the heat mongers will move the date up to 2080, ad infinitum.
I was kind of under the impression that the tundra was made up of tons of dead plant matter (kind of like a frozen bog). If it is bad and unprecedented, then how did all of that plant matter get there in the first place?
The heck with the southern hemisphere. I visit Mt. Shasta here in California a lot, almost annually. The snowpack is growing. Mt. Shasta glaciers are growing in California. Two Mt. Shasta glaciers have doubled in size since 1950 (Hotlum and Wintun). Glaciers are also growing in Alaska and Washington state. Those evil lib global warmer liars conveniently ignore the big differences happening in our own back yards.

Well, they did grow crops in Greenland, during the MWP (medieval warm period).
I do not recall any reports of the earth drowning then.
The MWP, however, was replaced by the LIA (little ice age).
No. See first chart at http://wattsupwiththat.com/reference-pages/sea-ice-page/
That is correct. More likely the increase in open water (caused by ocean warmth, not air warmth) will result in increased snowfall which will not melt but instead push the forests further south.
Northern Hemisphere Sea Ice Anomaly: currently .435 million sq. km below normal
Southern Hemisphere Sea Ice Anomaly: currently .919 million sq. km above normal.
Since .919 > .435, we are indeed above normal. I believe that the red trace on the chart you cited indicates the same point.
Don't know about now, but way back when I was selling them instrumentation, these guys would do or say anything for grant money.
