.308 and 30-06 are 7.62 in diameter, 7.62 millimeters. the nato spec for a .308 round is 7.62 x 55 I think and the 30-06 is 7.62 by 65 MM.

I have a single 170 gr 30 caliber bullet mold that can be shot in 30-30, 30-06 or 308. It casts lead bullets at .311 or slightly larger depending on the alloy.

This is limited by the tendency for leading at velocities over 2000 fps.

Same approach will work on other such calibers:

“The amount of .308 bullets if phanominal since it’s the standard 30 cal bullet, 30-30, 30-06, 308, 300 win mag, 300 rum, etc”
