they will simply pivot and say ... well... all those things we did were good for the environment anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

(in other words, they KNEW all along it was a hoax! but they used that to get the changes they wanted.)

I’ve already seen it. The internet led to more people reading online instead of cutting down trees to make newspapers and books. More trees = fewer green house gases in the air = less warming than expected.
The internet saved the planet, in their opinion and explains the lack of global warming since it took off.
