The money is a threat to their military because its creating a class of people who aren’t as easily controlled and have the means to resist.

I suspect they are just looking to make sure the mess in Korea doesn’t spill over the border into China. I doubt they will back the Norks if they initiate hostilities. China likes North Korea as a thorn in the U.S. side. If North Korea does an East Germany, it takes one of their pieces off the board and places a new one on our side.
