Frankly because the factory was sent elsewhere.
We need to stop exporting jobs, and bring them back.
Now.

And we should drop the fantasy that the only worthwhile job is a tech job. Blue collar jobs should be something to be proud of.

Frankly because the factory was sent elsewhere. Desk jobs sitting at a computer have also been sent abroad (with the finished results smuggled into the country with no import duty paid). Whether it is graphic design (laying out ad circulars for the weekly grocery store ads, simple legal document preparation, or quality assurance testing of software and development of programming code and webpages).
Bill Gates and his ilk sold us out, yet they now proclaim that WE don't pay enough in taxes. Funny that.

Frankly because the factory was sent elsewhere. We need to stop exporting jobs, and bring them back. Should we use government to compel businesses to bring back all exported jobs?

(Courts, law enforcement, roads and national defense should be the extent of government)
