The irony here is that New Rochelle is the hometown for Thomas Paine, who wrote Common Sense which fermented the ideas for our American Revolution. In fact there is a statue of Paine accros the street from New Rochelle HS. If the reporter had done some research or had driven around she could have discovered the rich history New Rochelle has as its origins are from the Hugeonots, who left France for religious freedom. But that is expecting too much from today’s politicians or MSM.

Rochelle, France was a Huguenot stronghold. The New Rochelle town library is the Huguenot Library. My Huguenot descended father was born in Mount Vernon, next door. Half the settlers in New Netherlands were Huguenots. The Huguenots, based on bitter experience, were big advocates of the IInd Amendment.
I grew up next to newtochelle. This entire state sucks.
