He fails to appreciate the simple fact that simply taking guns out of the hands of Americans will not prevent a similar fate from befalling him.

Treating us fairly, letting us work, allowing industry (all senses of the word) and respecting our freedoms and sensibilities would.

I wish I could share your optimism. But it seems to me that as long as they have sports, Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Voice, etc., they will stay asleep until the collapse. Then it's every man for himself.
