One of the issues facing minorities is their mentality. If you like paternalism and seek benefits outside your own independent work and success you’re reallying calling for your own slavery. The trade off is power and authority. You give that away.
It’s a theives society. The people (puebla) hire goons to get what they want by “legal” theft, but there’s no honor among theives and soon the hirelings turn master. That’s the pattern.
Take a look at the demographic shift of immigration and you see people who were violently independent, think Scots-Irish, to people who came not just from repressive, socialist societies, but who liked it and just wanted more.
It’s the culture that makes all the difference.
