Well, one doesn’t need to be in favor of gay marriage to be in favor of polygamy. One might open the door to the other legally, but it doesn’t follow that everyone who supports one will necessarily support the other.

Let's say gay marriage was legalized and, what inevitably could happen, polygamy was also allowed, do you think the LDS church would return to the once "divinely-revealed" practice of polygamy? Just curious.

I think it’s a reasonable assumption. If, for example, Christians were prohibited by law from partaking in the Lord’s Supper, we would surely still do it secretly, and as soon as the law allowed, we’d do it openly again. I see no reason why the Mormons wouldn’t do the same with one of their religious practices.
