I appreciate your sense of irony-it was a Bulldog not an American Pitbull Terrier-but no matter-even a Chihuahua out of control is not acceptable in a public place, especially not attacking other visitors or resident wildlife.

WHile the careful sensibilities of the AKC world can explain a difference, watch the video. Every witness on the beach would describe it as “the pitbull was running wild and attacking”.

To the people on the beach, (and the seal) the difference between the two is at best,,,academic.

But you’re right. If anyone else didnt control their dog of any breed in public, or if the dog atatcked wildlife, they would be in huge trouble. ANd would face fines upwards of 100k if it attacked a marine mammal.
