Understand all your points, but what is happening in the ME right now with regards to Syria is unprecedented. We are fighting a covert war against a country that has WMD capability. In the past when you wanted to topple a country with WMD capabilities (Iraq) you establish air superiority through no fly zones. You assembly your armies. Get all the neighbors on your side. Install anti-missile batteries. Launch a campaign of shock and awe and when you go in, you go in with enough force to overwhelm the country before it can launch a WMD counter attack. That was all done in Iraq. And we even fought an earlier war against Saddam where we bombed all Saddam's WMD facilities. And that was done and the bombing was assessed years before the final GWB led war.
You never fight a covert war using terrorists as proxies and Islamic scumbags as weapons suppliers against a country that has WMD capabilities.
You do exactly as zero has done if you want a high chance that Israel gets bombed with gas. And then you have plausible deny-ability when its all over.
These Chicago mob bastards are slick. Also it wouldn''t hurt your deny-ability to be seen making nice to the same Israelis you plan to gas only days before.

Well, that never has certainly changed.....Might be the very reason the US and UN have not given the rebels the backup they wanted to begin with, or now, and the stated reason the Rebel Leader said he was resigning...which in Imo was sufficient enough to “gracefully” getting him out the way, and out of the country, for what is coming next.
There is much more to this than the fighting....Backdoor happenings among the nations involved, known and unknown, have plans we are not privy to, and for that do not make it easier to determine what's next.....
.... I don't believe for a moment Israel would have fired into Syria, nor the Rebel leader stepping down, or the report of Assad's death, and the request Iraq have a no fly over their country while “Assad’s assist” is in flight...without some truly bargaining going on behind closed doors and that on the highest levels across the board of the M.E. nations...and others
What that will now be remains to play out but we can be sure more is to come, and that without question.
