If this information be confirmed officially, it would be a victory for the Islamists who are fighting for the seizure of power in Syria. No one really knows what it will be tomorrow if Assad is really dead. What is the Iran will back a step? The Russia will - it see red before the loss of its best ally? What about China? And the United States who have still promised this week to a terms "in the coming days" to the Damascus regime, are they strong enough to transmit power to honest Syrians?
If this is true then either Iran is playing a deep game (Assad was their boy) or they’ve made a real blunder and lost their foothold in Damascus.
