In "Jesus Christ Superstar", Andy stole liberally from Ray Charles, Gershwin and Stravinsky. Mahler he left alone. I'm going to analyze the opera on Friday night, number by number, much like I did for Handel's "Messiah". It deserves that much respect.

On Saturday night, I'm going to do Mahler's "Ressurection" Symphony. The first three movements are personalized, but the huge final movement is nothing less than a whole theology set to music. It's the End of the World and Aftermath for orchestra, soloists and chorus.
