Frankly I don’t know why Brzezinski left Poland after the war, he would have fit right in the the PRL.
There are more Poles honored as “Righteous Gentiles” (meaning that they risked or lost their lives helping Jews) at Yad Vashem in Israel than from any other nation in the world. And, while about 3 million Polish Jews were killed by the Nazis, about 2.2 Polish Catholic civilians were also killed.
