Cincinnati.com has reported that Sister Marguerite Kloos has resigned as dean of the College of Mount St. Joseph’s art and humanities department, after being charged with voting fraud. Sister Kloos, 54, told investigators that she filled out an absentee ballot for Sister Marie Hewitt, another nun who died a month before November’s election.

The other nun died on October 4, which was before the absentee ballots were mailed out. So Sister Marge was not only dishonest but also dumb, to think she would get away with it. Maybe she assumed no one would check death notices.

I went to the college website a little while ago and Sister Marge's photo was still up as dean of the Division of Arts and Humanities. That could just mean they haven't gotten around to updating the website.

I think it is a safe bet that both of her votes were for the Democratic candidates.

This is interesting because the ONLY example of voters without any ID that the media could come up with was, actually, a bunch of nuns in Ohio.

...now we see why they’re against Voter ID.

Actually, if you go to the source website (cincinnati.com) you can see that only one of the three people the DA is prosecuting is a sister.

The other two are Russell Glassop, who voted for his dead wife, and a poll worker named Melowese Richardson, 58, who voted 8 times for Obama and bragged about it.

Three is a small number, given the amount of voter fraud that probably took place in Hamilton county, but on the other hand you have to start somewhere. And on still another hand a few highly-publicized prosecutions are good "pour encourager les autres" -

It's been my experience that the more liberal somebody is in their thinking, the stupider they become.

Liberalism seems to stifle logical thought, cause-and-effect reasoning, and all those other useful things that keep you alive and well.

Maybe it's a self-limiting condition. One can hope.

I don’t really know that the nun is a liberal Democrat, but I’m always ready to believe the worst of academic administrators.

“Orders” are not the church. They are often the work of the adversary within the church.
