” Stunted, malnourished people usually dont make good soldiers.”
kind of like when we went into Iraq the first time? However, the Korean war was fought against Chinese soldiers, right? So could this actually be China pushing the buttons?

Why would China want a land war to screw up their hundreds of billions of dollars worth of trade with the Republic of Korea, Japan and the United States just for the sake of one of the smallest economies in the world and arguably the smallest one in Asia? That would set them back decades and probably cause famine and mass unrest throughout their country. The politburo in China is very happy with being at the top of the totem pole, I'll wager.

However, the Korean war was fought against Chinese soldiers, right? Not at first. The big push back north was against primarily North Korean soldiers. It wasn't until the fighting got close to the Yalu River (the border with China) that the Chinese officially got involved.
