I think Boehner and his gang are basically a bunch of cowards and backstabbers who want to get the illegal immigration issue out of the way so they won't have to deal with it year-after-year.

They aren't stupid and they aren't cowards. They WANT to give the illegal aliens citizenship. The want to dilute and neutralize the political power of conservatives so they don't have to deal with uppity Americans that demand liberty and prosperity year-after-year.

I disagree, I think they actually are afraid of the issue and are tired of the issue, so they buy into the fantasy that granting amnesty to millions of illegals will somehow be a plus for the Republican party. But it would be the biggest negative possible at this point, assuring millions of new Dim voters a few years from now.

They mostly want to be free of the issue, and they despise the conservatives who refuse to go along with their caving in to the Dims and others who support amnesty.
