The Left has already started the whitewashing of Hugo Chávezs record, and I have no doubt that within days his image will adorn T-shirts the way the thuggish Che Guevara does.
Within minutes of the announcement of the strongmans death, Ken Livingstone, Londons former mayor, tweeted the following:
K: Hugo Chavez showed there is an alternative to neo-liberalism and colonialism in Venezuela and worldwide. He was a friend & comrade #RIP
Ken Livingstone (@ken4london) March 5, 2013
As the London Times dryly noted: There is a desperation on the Left for heroes who can reverse what seems like half a century of ideological defeat.

Viva Venezuela!
Chavez es muerto y expropiado por el diablo.
Michael Savage said yesterday that the website giving the least stilted view of Chavez, detailing the crime and failures of his fledgling socialist state is, surprisingly, Al Jazeera.
I baked a lemon flavored pound cake and ate half of it.
Okay, London Times, half a century of idealogical defeat?
Try a century and a half, in fact, when Karl Marx wrote his crap in the 1800s it was all a result of spending time at libraries in London reading Adam Smith looking for a way to defeat Capitalism. So, he essentially began with an axe to grind and ended up enabling others to use his axe.
Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, and all of the various shills like Chavez have tried to make a crappy "theory" a success and each one of them have failed miserably.
Obama and all his goons think they can top all those losers from the past using a completely failed and worn out "theory"?
The "Worker's Paradise" of Karl Marx is really nothing more than hell on earth, as evidenced by the untold millions of people who have died as a result of trying to implement his "theory."
Can we sumise those who are the real "useful idiots"?
The election of Chavez serves as an example of what happens when you allow stupid people to vote. Venezuela might not have been a sterling case of free-enterprise capitalism before Chavez took over, but he made things far worse. Thanks to the poor (and ignorant) people of his country who expected to take the money from the wealthy for themselves. Instead, it all went into Chavez’s bank account. He made himself a multi-billionaire and made the poor poorer than they were before. But he is still their beloved leader. Er...ex-leader.
The only people I know who are morning Fatso’s demise is Sean Penn and the MSM!!!!
mmmmMMMMmmm... did you add poppy seed?
Don’t forget Joe Kennedy.
I didn’t cry for Hugo, believe me. In fact, I was drinking a nice Margarita as I broke the cheery news to some friends. Strangely, they did not cry either.
“Hugo, is SO cute!”
~USA Today
“I wish we had him as our dictator instead of that Right-leaning Obama”
~Newsweek
“We as Americans could learn a lot from the prosperity breeding ideal of Communism”
~Time magazine
“Never has a cartoon brought us such truth and insight through the eyes of a child”
~MSNBC
I don’t wish Hell on anybody, but I suspect that Hugo is in Eternal Fire with the rest of his predecessors, Marx, Lenin, etc.
So called “intellectuals” like Marx know they’re incapable of producing anything of value in the real world. This is what attracts them to tearing down WHAT DOES WORK, i.e., Capitalism. Capitalism, in it’s turn, has never claimed to distribute money, goods or services equally. By playing on the misery and resentment of the poor and the useless, these leeches gain power. They then set about immiserating all but a select group of cronies. Eventually, the whole country is run down, and all in the name of ‘social justice’.
