Why don't people like Waxman just swear off oil and oil based products?
Oil or it's derivatives is used in almost everything in a civilization.
Manufacturing, mining, clothing, machinery, farming, construction, processing food, I can't think of a single thing that isn't somehow tied to dirty oil. Even windmills and solar panels have to be manufactured by machines which need oil to function, power to run, and transportation get to the customer.

Kool Henry. We'll shut off the pipelines, close the oil terminals, shut down the refineries in California and you can just bike to work.

I’m trying to figure out why liberals hate oil so much.
1. They worship Mother Earth and don’t want her resources taken from her.
2. They want the world to go back to “village” living, so ride a bike.
3. Because the economy depends on oil and they hate this country and want it to fail.
