Believe it or not, that has NOTHING to do with her newfound success....totally irrelevant, and therefore, superflous to this discussion.
Believe it or not, her work as a writer for the Seattle Times may not have anything to do with her success now, but it did have something to do with her success as a syndicated commentator, with a wide range of newspapers across the country. Heck, her column was even in our local leftwing paper for a couple of years. She would never have been given the opportunity to syndicate if she had not first worked for a major newspaper.
