The way I see it we are not close to losing freedom, it has already been lost. As for democracy, that is what we were never supposed to have, in fact we were warned against it, we were supposed to have a constitutional republic, the republic was lost long ago and a perverted democracy was forced on us, now the de facto democracy is evolving to an unconstrained oligarchy which will be seen as a dictatorship but the dictator is merely a puppet operated from behind the scenes by a group which is bent on the total destruction of the USA.

No, not at all, far worse in fact. I am a white haired 68 year old, six four and 260 pounds but NOT FAT, born and raised ten miles from the courthouse where the first secession meeting was held, grandson of a confederate veteran, grandnephew of a confederate veteran, baptized in a millpond at twelve years by a raving Southern Baptist preacher who thought dancing was a sin worthy of being condemned from the pulpit, joined the USN just before my 18th birthday, read Atlas Shrugged before I was 21 and loved it, madly heterosexual, married to a real woman who is very intelligent but still dumb enough to live with me, descended from the Normans who conquered England at the battle of Hastings, “information junkie”, puke at the sight of eared reader. I am a master of many arts now unknown to all but an elite few, things like pulling one end of a two man crosscut, splitting firewood with axe or nine pound maul, milking cows, plowing a field with a mule, picking cotton etc. I can build a fire in a drizzling rain too.
