My brother-in-law kicks butt butchering, father-in-law drying, me killing...yup, life without government will be good.
If you know someone with a good summer sausage recipe, forward it to me.
Cheers!
I think there is a bigger picture aspect being missed here. One great argument when challenged by animal rights and anti gun liberals about the “need to kill animals” has been that hunters feed the needy. Liberals couldn’t overcome that argument until now. Enter the state which prevents hunters from supporting charities with their sport. One less item in the pro hunter/ 2A column.

Find the rat and identify him/her. Then let the folks deal with that freak.
Bleach is poison. Only a few drops can kill.
Probably used his/her Obamaphone to call in, I guess the arteries in my bleeding heart is starting to harden up some
Nowadays, I only give to children charitys as most of the adults on welfare around here have more stuff than I can aford
That’s gross and disgusting.
That’s like tossing 15 or more deer on the side of the road after you shoot them.
It’s wrong and ought to be a sin.
One should never take a life except for defense or food.
If a life is taken for food, the animal ought to be given the highest respect and prayer given, as thanks to God.
I won’t even kill a bee. They are dangerous to me but, they aren’t presently dangerous, just lost.
They have one life to give in defense of the hive and their queen.
When I find them in my home I set them free.
I act with calm, picking them up in my hand and simply release them outside where they can find their way home.
“someone at the shelter complained about being fed deer meat”
Really, dude, really? You are and homeless and have no food. So at the risk of sounding heartless..get your happy ass back out on the streets and dumpster dive for your future meals.
And then the authorities give this insanity credence?
Myself, I love venison and find it to be a delicacy in my life.
“Bleach is poison.”
Everything is poison in the right concentration. Let ne ask you... Why is it used to purify drinking water sometimes?
In the case of javelina meat, Clorox would improve the flavor considerably.
You're not insensitive, you're commonsensical.
When Katrina rolled through and Texas had such an influx of people from Louisiana, I worked at a local high school that was designated one of the 'shelters'.
I KNOW everyone was scared, and I KNOW everyone was uncomfortable, but I had never heard such whining and kvetching in all my life!
Despite being served a hot breakfast AND a hot supper, the loudest complaint was they only recieved sandwiches for lunch.
That kind of 'gratitude' will make even the most charitable person UN-charitable really quick!
We have a local who picks up roadkill deer so he can make jerky from it, and his only criteria is that "It cain't be swole up yet."
Reminds me of the Department of Candles in some Ayn Rand novel, Ive forgotten which one.
Anthem, by Ayn Rand.
I had the same experience while volunteering after Katrina.
I was amazed...well, maybe appalled is a better word.
It’s used to purify water because it kills everything in the water.
The reason it doesn’t kill people who drink the purified water is because only a couple drops per gallon is used.
Pour a cup of the stuff in a water bottle and watch people start falling like flies.
